Year 1600 - 1450 BCE
Dimensions 10 cm x 35 cm
Medium pottery
Location Ashmolean Museum
View in Collection

This squat alabastron resembles those found in the Throne Room but is made of pottery and was found in a tomb at Isopata near Knossos. Although the Ashmolean does have two stone alabastra from the Throne Room it is clearly this object shown in the photograph. Perhaps there was a mix-up in the Ashmolean Museum.
