Cast of relief fragment showing charging bull. Original in British Museum, acquired from Lord Elgin and said to come from the Treasury of Atreus at Mycenae. Evans regarded this and another slab as Minoan, and evidence for Minoan influence on the mainland. He also used these slabs as evidence for an early date for the Treasury of Atreus, contradicting the much later date put forward (correctly) by Alan Wace.
