The Ring of Minos was reportedly found in 1928 near Knossos. Evans was offered it for sale but refused to pay the asking price, and it was lost. An impression was made, from which this replica was made by Émile Gillièron fils. The original later resurfaced in 2002 and is now in Heraklion Archaeological Museum.
