Plaster replica of the rosette frieze fragment found in the first season of excavation at Knossos in 1900 in the area of the Southern Propylaeum. Evans noted in the 1900 report that “These rosettes in their fine undercutting and execution far excel any known reliefs of the kind from Mycenae and elsewhere.”
