The Dolphin Fresco was discovered in fragments between 1900 and 1902 in the East Wing of the Palace, close to the Queen’s Megaron. Theodore Fyfe undertook the restoration of the original pieces for Heraklion Archaeological Museum and a replica was later installed in situ at Knossos.
