This coloured reconstruction of the Hall of the Double Axes was probably drawn by Émile Gilliéron fils, shortly before it was published in the third volume of The Palace of Minos in 1930. It draws on the Shield Fresco found nearby as the basis for the hanging figure-of-eight oxhide shields.
